Here are the most frequently asked questions of our Customer Services Team. If you have a question that is not answered, please contact us using the form below.

The following crystalline pure sugars are available in 25kg paper sacks and 1000kg FIBCs. Dark soft brown sugar, soft brown light sugar, light cane muscovado sugar, dark cane muscovado sugar and demerara sugar are available in these sizes.

Golden syrup, treacle, invert sugar syrup and liquid sugar are available in IBCs and bulk tankers. Pails may be available depending on volume and location.

Crystalline pure sugars in 25kg paper sacks are delivered on pallets, with 40 bags to a pallet, gross weight 1000kg.

The following crystalline pure sugars are available on pallets: dark soft brown sugar, soft brown light sugar, light cane muscovado sugar, dark cane muscovado sugar and demerara sugar.

Minimum order quantities are 2 tonnes per product as part of a 50 tonne per year contract.

We can arrange Incoterms DAP deliveries throughout Europe.

The shelf life of dark soft brown sugar, soft brown light sugar, light cane muscovado sugar, dark cane muscovado sugar and demerara sugar is greater than 18 months if good storage practices are observed.

Golden syrup and black treacle have a shelf life (unopened) of 18 months crystallisation and microbiology 18 months.

Invert sugar syrup has a shelf life (unopened) of crystallisation 4 months and microbiology 6 months.

Liquid sugar has a shelf life of crystallisation 3 weeks and microbiology 3 weeks.

Dark soft brown sugar, light cane muscovado sugar, dark cane muscovado sugar and demerara sugar should be stored in a cool dry environment (10-20°c). Avoid direct sunlight and store away from strong odours and source of ignition.

Soft brown light sugar should be stored in a cool dry environment (15-20°c). Avoid direct sunlight and store away from strong odours and source of ignition.

Golden syrup, black treacle, invert sugar syrup and liquid sugar should be stored in a cool dry environment (15-20°c). Avoid direct sunlight and store away from strong odours.

Bulk pure sugar syrups and selected crystalline sugars that are manufactured for industrial food and beverage applications are available from Ragus.

Invert sugar syrup is used as a humectant and flavour attractant, with a high sweetness value and low viscosity. Ragus manufactures two types of invert sugar syrup: fully inverted sugar syrup and partially inverted sugar syrup, such as golden syrup.

Golden syrup is the best an example of what is known as a partially inverted refiners syrup.
