These syrups are made from demerara sugar. The syrup has a stronger colour and flavour profile than golden syrup and allows the syrup to withstand higher baking temperatures. It is used in biscuits, cakes, puddings and preserves with low-acid fruits. Ragus Refiners Syrup will prevent crystallisation in the finished product.
