Organic Food Federation
Ragus is now able to offer organic versions of most of its products, and can produce an organic
alternative to just about any sugar/glucose formulation.
Organic Raw Cane Sugars
Generally speaking, organic raw sugar is pale in colour. Grain size can vary from standard demerara to a fine raw
caster. This sugar can also be milled to crush the grain particles to produce and organic raw caster sugar. Organic white granulated is also available
and as organic volumes grow, so will the choice and variants of a particular sugar.
Organic Soft Sugars
As with our main product ranges, we manufacture organic soft brown sugars by blending organic refiners syrup and treacle
to the sugar crystal.
Organic Invert, Golden and Refiners Syrups
These can now be refined. The quality, consistency and flavour/application remain as stable as
their non-organic versions.
Organic Molasses and Treacle
These can also be produced from organic sugar cane. This in turn means that we can manufacture organic black
treacle using organic molasses and organic refiners syrup.
Companies registered with the Organic Food Federation and who produce certified organic products are permitted to use the OFF
symbol on qualifying products. Where it appears, the Organic Food Federation symbol tells you that the products:
- fully comply with organic regulations.
- are made with raw materials grown according to organic principles.
- are free from artificial preservatives, colours and flavours.

Fairtrade Organic Products
In addition to organic, Ragus can offer Fairtrade organic sugars, which in turn can be refined
into Fairtrade organic syrups.
The Fairtrade Mark is the only independent guarantee of internationally agreed fair trade standards, is a registered trademark
of the Fairtrade Foundation and may only be used under licence.

Bee Farmers' Association
The bee keeping industry in the UK is very complex, ranging from commercial bee farmers producing for well-known honey brands, to "hobby" bee keepers producing honey in small quantities.
Kosher CertificationAll Products manufactured by Ragus Sugars Manufacturing Ltd as listed here are Kosher Certified by the London Beth Din Kashrut Division (KLBD) for all year round use under the Kosher Status of Pareve-non Passover.
