At Ragus we are rightly proud of our connection with this British icon and much loved food invention. Key to its creation and formulation in 1883 was my Great Grandfather Charles Eastick who worked with his brother John Joseph as the first chemists for Abram Lyle at the Plaistow Wharf sugar refinery.
